What I love most about my work is that I can allow an audience to see, for a brief time, through someone else’s eyes. Lighting is everywhere in our world, and I’ve spent an enormous amount of my life observing how it can shape a space, a moment, a mood.

Mike Inwood’s lighting designs have been seen across North America, the UK and Europe. He has received awards including an Emmy Award for his work on coverage of the Vancouver Winter Olympic Games with NBC Sports, and DDI Magazine's Winning Windows Award for his lighting of the Macy's Christmas Windows at their flagship store in New York City.

He is a company member of The Mad Ones, and earned a nomination for the American Theatre Wing's Henry Hewes Design Award for his lighting design of their production of The Essential Straight and Narrow.

As a guest designer, Mr. Inwood has worked with students at Fordham University, Bard College, The University of the Arts Philadelphia, The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Whitman College, The University of Rochester, and City College of New York. He is an alumnus of the Tisch School of the Arts, and the University of British Columbia.

Mike is a proud member of United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829.
